Claas Quadrant 2200 Fine Cut Baler
Tire Type: 710/45R22.5
Info: The Claas Quadrant FC 2200 baler is unique to North America - there are just 2 machines. It is the only large square baler that is cutting the material with 49 knifes for a theoretical cutting length of 1". Bales are standard tied with 6 strings and can be moved with 3 prong bale spears without any problems, even when double stacked.
The bale is a 2.7 X 4 ft format which make stacking very simple and allows for optimal use of transport volume. The number of knifes can be adjusted to the needs.
Grain Buggies
Capacity: 500 and 900 bu
Info: Each combine is accompanied by a grain buggy. This increases harvesting efficiency, reduces soil compaction and allows filling trailers and trucks on roads off the fields. A weigh scale allows calibrating and monitoring the combine yield monitor in the field and to take off and weigh test plots.
John Deer 9560 STS Combine
Header: 30 ft flexhead with AWS air reel; and JD 893 8-row corn head
Info: This combine is also equipped with Headsight auto header height control, a fine cut chopper, and an AgLeader GPS yield monitor.
Lexion 580R Combine
Info: This combine features: a hybrid threshing system, high float tires, a 40 ft flexhead with Claas Auto Contour header height control, an AWS air reel system, a fine cut active spread straw chopper, a windrow independent chaff spreader, Claas 3-D slope sieve adjustment, an AgLeader Insight GPS yield monitor, and Claas auto pilot.
Fertilizing
Rauch Aero 2218 Fertilizer Spreader
Info: The Rauch spreader is used for spreading dry fertilizer. The airboom allows an even spread even under windy conditions or when using minor quality but cheaper fertilizers. The rate is electronically adjusted and autosteer avoids overlaps and misses.
Fertilizer is supplied to the spreader via trucks with auger fertilizer boxes.
Redball 690 Sprayer
Tire Type: 18.4R34
Operating Width: 120 ft
Info: Spraying is done with a 2000 ga Redball pulltype sprayer. A tandem axle with rear steering axle follows the tractors tracks to reduce tramping and compaction. The 120 ft boom is controlled in heights automatically by a Norac controller. A Trimble EZ 500 controls the rate, automatic GPS boom shut off and does the autosteer control. The combination of all these features warrants the most precise and environmentally responsible chemical application currently available.
Tender Trucks
Info: We are using 3 tender trucks with auger boxes to supply seed and fertilizer to the planting units and fertilizer spreader. This allows for the fastest refill procedure to cut down on waiting time.
Harvesting
Claas 8550 Butterfly Mower
Operating Speed: 5 to 15 mph
Operating Width: 28 ft
Info: The Claas butterfly unit is equipped with tine conditioners and merger belts. This allows us to adjust the conditioning intensity and it allows us to drop windrows every 10, 18 and 28 ft. Those windrows are spread 12 to 14 ft wide so that a fast and consistent drydown is achieved and windrows can be harvested without any additional merging. This reduces costs, allows a consistent feed squality and reduces the probability of feed contamination with dirt and leaf losses dramatically.
Claas Forage Harvesters
Horsepower: 360 to 430 hp
Top Speed: 40 km/h
Info: There are currently 3 Claas Jaguar forage harvesters available. A 930, an 850 SpeedStar and an 830 GreenEye. All machines are equipped with 800 and 540 radial tires, kernel processors, inoculant applicators and 2 machines have 4wd. Claas RU 450 row-independent corn heads are used for corn silage and Claas PU 380 and 430 pickup heads are used in alfalfa silage. Corn Cob meal is harvested with a John Deere 893 8 row snapper head. Micro rasp bars, re-cutter screen and rasp-bar feed floors are used for Cob meal and High Moisture corn processing.
Silage Dumptrailers
Capacity: 30 to 40 m cubed
Info: Silage hauling is done with tandem axle dumptrailers. We have 30 m cubed dumptrailers for rent and 32 to 40 m cubed dumptrailers running behind our tractors. All trailers have flotation tires and a few units have steering axles as well. All trailers have hydraulic 4 wheel brakes. One trailer is equipped with a weigh scale to measure weight and yield.
Taarup 4062 Disc Mower
Info:
Manure Spreading
Tebbe HS 180 Spreader
Info: We currently have two of these spinner style spreaders. Each spreader holds up to 20 mt, has tandem axle with steering, hydraulic or air brakes and a beater spinner style spreading device that allows very fine and even spread patterns over 30 to 60 ft. All kinds of dry materials like manure, compost, fertilizer, peat moss, top soil, wood chips, sand, lagoon settlements, bedding sand, straw, silage and others can be spread. The units are equipped with GPS guidance and weighing device so that the rate can be set and controlled very precisely.
A telehandler or excavator is used for loading.
The business is fully insured and licensed as an applicator and a broker. All operators are licensed application technicians. Each job is completely monitored and recorded from beginning to end to comply with MOE requirements.
Planting
Flexicoil Aircarts
Info: Aircarts are very efficient tools for metering seed and fertilizer. We have 4 Flexicoil aircarts in use in combination with the drill or the planters to meter seed and fertilizer. Aircarts are also used for sidedressing urea into corn.
Variable rate metering systems and float tires are standard equipment as well as the rear 3 pt hitch. The split tanks allow the metering of 2 or 3 different products as the same time.
John Deer 1770 16-Row Corn Planter

Road Conditioning
Wirtgen WS 2500 Towed Soil Stabilizer
Info:
Tillage
Aerway
Operating Width: 20 ft
Info:
Brix Maxi Disc
Operating Speed: 4 to 10 mp/h
Operating Width: 20 ft
Info: The Brix disc was the first european style tillage tool we brought to Ontario. The individually suspended discs and the rubber tire packer allow high speed operation for intensive tillage, mixing and leveling of the surface. The 600 mm disc are working under all high residue conditions without plugging and the rear packer allows to set and control working depth precisely between 1 and 8 inches.
John Deere 714 Mulch Tiller
Operating Width: 16 ft
Info: The 714 is used for fall tillage. Straight 20" cutting discs up front size plant residue and the rear discs level the surface, which will reduce the number of tillage passes in spring. The shanks can be equipped with 2" straight chisels, 4" twisted chisels or a combination with wing shares, so that the whole surface is being worked.
The 714 is "tolerant" to a certain degree of soil moisture.
John Deere 980 with John Deere 220 Crumbler

New Holland ST 250 Cultivator with Sunflower Crumbler
Info:
Väderstad Carrier Disc
Operating Speed: 15 to 20 km/h
Operating Width: 20 ft
